Evolution of a trailer with Tron Legacy

With just over a month to go to the release of Tron: Legacy. Disney has released the final trailer for the film. With that in mind I thought of going back through the trailers that have been released for the film from the 2009 Comic Con "test footage" to the final trailer.  So after a year of being drip fed trailers to the manic releases of the final two trailers in the last 2 weeks I give you the evolution of the Tron: Legacy trailer.

It all started at Comic Con in 2009 with a short FX test sequence showing the new Light Cycle

Strange things are happening at the "old arcade" - this is the "Teaser trailer"

We now find out what happened to Flynn and his son.

Now the final trailer in the sequence and lots and lots more effect shots

TRON: LEGACY is a high-tech 3D adventure set in a digital world unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), a rebellious 27-year-old, is haunted by the mysterious disappearance of his father Kevin Flynn (Oscar®-winner Jeff Bridges), a man once known as the world’s leading video-game developer. When Sam investigates a strange signal sent to the old Flynn’s Arcade – a signal that could only have come from his father – he finds himself pulled into a digital world where his father has been trapped for 20 years. With the help of a fearless warrior, Quorra (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-or-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe, created by Kevin himself, which has become far more advanced with never-before-imagined vehicles, weapons and landscapes, and a ruthless villain who will stop at nothing to prevent their escape
